Portland Youth Dance provides several scholarships each year for qualified applicants to take a dance class once a week throughout the school year at Casco Bay Movers Dance Studio, culminating with an end of the year performance. Applications can be submitted from the community at large. Each scholarship is based on financial need, individual qualities, and professional recommendation, and is determined by the Board of Directors. Scholarships are awarded in August of each year. Each September, PYD is able to provide several scholarships to dancers in-need with the help of Casco Bay Movers and their incredible generosity.

PYD COMPANY SCHOLARSHIP
Portland Youth Dance also provides scholarship for qualified PYD Company, Company II, Dynamix, Dynamix II members. Scholarships are granted each year to one or several individuals who have auditioned for and been accepted into Portland Youth Dance, and who meet financial and personal criteria. This is granted each September by the Board of Directors, and covers full or partial dues and fees for PYD membership. Scholarship does not cover the cost of classes as part of PYD’s requirements. Application deadline is September 13th, 2017 for dancers accepted into the Portland Youth Dance program. Please use application above.
LIVE 2 DANCE SCHOLARSHIP
Live 2 Dance is a all-inclusive scholarship. Applicants must have auditioned for and been accepted into Company II or Dynamix Crew and meet financial and personal criteria. This scholarship is unique in that it covers the cost of PYD fees AND 2 required classes. Application deadline is September 13th, 2017. Please use application above.
Monsters on the Move Foundation, Inc. is a national organization with a goal similar to that of Portland Youth Dance Company, to provide quality dance education based on financial need.
