The Exchange is a family friendly event, where studio and street dancers meet! It was created to provide an authentic and positive hip hop experience for studio dancers, exposing them to the 4 elements of hip hop: DJ, emcee, graffiti and breaking.
There will be 2V2 bboy/girl battles! 1V1 all styles battles – absolutely anyone can enter!! A team showcase where crews/teams get to throw down! It’s an exchange of movement, ideas and culture where you get to see that hip hop is all love!!

Portland Youth Dance offers a FREE dance program! Partnering with Casco Bay Movers (they graciously donate studio space), we will offer a session of free dance classes for kids and teens who cannot afford to dance. There is absolutely NO application, no tedious prep work, no requirements to meet—just bring your young dancer in on Saturdays at 11:30 beginning March 18th! PYD performs in the Cabin Fever Showcase on Sunday, March 26th at 3pm. Tickets are on sale now and available at the Casco Bay Movers front desk. Cost is $8 for children/seniors and $10 for adults. Due to limited seating, CBM can only sell 2 tickets per family.
Performances will include adults, Tap 3, Musical Theater workshop, Portland Youth Dance, and special guests!

All you have to do is eat or drink at Uno’s Pizzeria on April 5th to support this PYD fundraiser! Uno’s will donate 20% of your bill’s proceeds to the PYD scholarship and outreach fund. That’s pretty exceptional since most venue’s fundraising programs donate only 5%. The one string attached is that you have to remember to mention the PYD fundraiser or present them with the PYD ticket, printed or via smartphone. Even if you forget your ticket, they will honor the fundraiser as long as you mention it to your server!
The fundraiser is valid for the entire day, from open to close (11:00am to 12:30am). The fundraiser is valid on not just food, but also on drinks (including alcohol), and also for catering orders. This is big. Catering orders count! If we can spread the word to business owners in the area, and they call Uno’s before April 5th, those catering sales count!
