Portland Youth Dance offers several scholarships annually to qualified applicants, allowing them to take a dance class once a week throughout the school year at Casco Bay Movers Dance Studio, culminating in an end-of-year performance. Applications can be submitted from the community at large. Each scholarship is based on financial need, individual qualities, and professional recommendation and is determined by the Board of Directors. Scholarships are awarded in August & December of each year. PYD can provide several scholarships to dancers in need, thanks to the support of Casco Bay Movers and their generous contributions.

PYD COMPANY SPONSORSHIP
Portland Youth Dance also provides sponsorships for qualified PYD Company, Crew, and PYD 2 members. Sponsorships are granted each year to one or several individuals who have auditioned for and been accepted into Portland Youth Dance Company, Crew, or PYD 2 and who meet financial and personal criteria. The Board of Directors grants this each September and covers full or partial dues and fees for PYD membership. If needed, you can apply for PYD tuition fees and a class at Casco Bay Movers.

The application deadline is September 8, 2025, for dancers accepted into the Portland Youth Dance program.
