Come see the results of 3 months of hard work by Learning Works students who have been working on original pieces of choreography created by PYD’s own company and crew members. Over 100 Learning Works students will be bused to the Casco Bay Movers Dance Studio to be part of and experience this wonderful event that will also feature performances by the Portland Youth Dance Company.
A portion of proceeds from this event will be donated to PYD’s scholarship and outreach fund. The fashion show features local artists’ custom designs utilizing recycled materials. PYD’s Company and Crew will be performing as part of the show up and down the runway!
YOU ARE INVITED to a festive fundraising gala to benefit young dancers in our community. Portland Youth Dance presents its second annual benefit gala to support the organizationʼs burgeoning dance outreach and scholarship programs. This fun event will feature cocktails, appetizers, live music, along with an assortment of fantastic silent auction items donated by local businesses. This is a 21+ event.
Tickets are $25 (or 6 for $100) and available for purchase online as well as at the front desk in the lobby of Casco Bay Movers Dance Studio located at 517 Forest Avenue in Portland. You may also mail a check to Portland Youth Dance, PO Box 8830, Portland, ME, 04104. Day of show, tickets are $30.
